Interpreting
Interpreting is the transfer of verbal communication from the source language to the target language. It is not about transferring individual words, but about transferring the content as a whole. In addition to translating the words themselves, the interpreter conveys the meaning and sense of what is said.
The most common forms are consecutive and simultaneous interpreting. For interpreting, it is extremely important to know the dates and duration of the interpreting in advance (preferably two weeks ahead for simultaneous) and to provide the interpreter with all available materials for preparation.
For interpreting, we charge a daily rate that depends on the type of interpretation. If necessary, the client also bears all accompanying costs (transportation, accommodation, meals) during the engagement.

What is simultaneous interpreting?
Simultaneous interpreting is the most specialized type of interpreting. Interpreters with special qualifications work in pairs and take turns. They work in soundproof booths where they listen to the speaker through headphones and simultaneously interpret orally into the target language.
This type of interpretation is ideal for multilingual conferences, but requires special equipment (headphones and microphones) that the event organizer provides themselves or according to our recommendation.

What is consecutive interpreting?
Consecutive interpreting is a form of interpreting in which the interpreter takes notes while the speaker speaks, and when they finish (usually at agreed intervals), the interpreter delivers a summary of their speech. This type of interpretation is suitable only for smaller groups and does not require any special equipment.
Escort interpreting is a subtype of consecutive interpreting. This method of interpreting is quite slow and time-consuming, so it is not suitable for all types of events (it is avoided at conferences, for example). If consecutive interpreting lasts all day or several days, two interpreters working as a team are needed.
